PES 2011 Ad Campaign

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 saw Lionel Messi as the key figure in a series of press ads, outdoor ads and POS. I worked as the lead retoucher on this project. The original shots of Messi were graded heavily to give them the edgy feel you can see in the ads. Heads, arms and legs were swapped onto different bodies to achieve better poses. The kit was an earlier version when shot so that had to be updated in the retouch. New boots, which were not available at the time of the shoot were re-shot and then placed onto Messi. The final result was a 'master montage' of Messi that became the key ad image for all elements.
